Jerry Mandel is an accomplished investor, entrepreneur, and former Wall Street investment banker with more than three decades of experience in global capital markets and real estate. In his capacity as Owner and Managing Director of Galil Capital, Mr. Mandel has been Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of various real estate investment ventures that have invested in the USA and Spain.

GC Florida Group, a group of real estate funds established from 2009 to 2015 that invested in and managed residential and commercial properties in the Florida, USA.
Prior to founding Galil Capital in 2003, Mr. Mandel was a Director of Investment Banking and the Head of the Merrill Lynch Tel Aviv office. Mr. Mandel worked for Merrill Lynch for ten years in its Investment Banking Division in New York, London and Tel Aviv.
In his most recent position at Merrill Lynch from 1998 to 2003, Jerry was responsible for Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking activities in Israel. Mr. Mandel was involved in many of the international equity, equity-linked and debt offerings as well as cross border M&A transactions that took place in Israel between 1998 and 2003. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Mandel was an investment banker in Merrill Lynch’s Latin American Group in New York where he participated in the origination and execution of many international equity, equity-linked and debt offerings for the Governments of and major corporations in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.
In 1996-1997 Mr. Mandel was the CFO of BRM Technologies, a leading Israeli VC investment firm and co-founder of Checkpoint Software Technologies (Nasdaq: CHKP) and Backweb Technologies (Nasdaq: BWEB). Mr. Mandel was involved in the origination, execution, monitoring and monetization of BRM investments. Mr. Mandel actively participated in BRM’s investments serving as Acting CFO of BRM’s portfolio companies.
Mr. Mandel served as Director on the Board and Member of the Audit Committee of various publicly listed companies, including: IDI Insurance Ltd. in 2019-2025, Kornit Digital Ltd in 2015-2018, Direct Insurance – Financial Investments Ltd. in 2008-2017, and Cellcom Israel Ltd in 2004-2005. Mr. Mandel also served as member of the Investment Committee of the pension funds of Bank Yahav in 2005-2008, and IDI Insurance Ltd. in 2019-2025.
Mr. Mandel received an MBA degree (Dean’s List) from Columbia Business School in 1992 and a B.Sc., magna cum laude (graduated #1 in class) in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University in 1989.
